WWI scenario Introduction:

WWI Scenario for Civilization V (BNW). Now is year 1914. Austro-Hungarian heir Archduke Franz Ferdinand is killed in Sarajevo by Serbian nationalist. This leading to Austia-Hungary to declaring war on Serbia, which has defensive pact with Russia, and Russia has Tripple alliance with Britain and France. The same year Germany annexed neutral Belgium and attack France. Later Italy joined this Alliance and Ottomans joined Alliance with German and Austria-Hungary. Real World War can begin. The main question is: Can YOU change the history of world?

Scenario is based on world map (1914):

 

Key features:

-Real boundaries of countries

-World and natural wonders are placed according reality.

-Real city names used in 1914 (Tsaritsyn=Volgograd, Constantinople=Istanbul, Pressburg=Bratislava, Kristiania=Oslo, Danzig=Gdansk, etc..)

-Real population in cities (if data was available). For example population of Berlin was round 2 millions in 1914, in game city is level 16 (2.3 mil.)

-Real placement of strategic and luxury resources, real quantity of resources (Coal in Germany, Britain, Russia…, Oil in Lybia, Russia, Norway, Nord Sea and another…)

-Real ratio of forces (according wikipedia – one million soldiers=1 Great War Infantry)

-Railroads placement (according reality in 1914)

Known bugs:
Years counted +40 for every turn. I recommend to use some time mod

Starting game:
1. Download map file and save it to MAP folder. Usually C:\Users\User\Documents\My Games\Sid Meier’s Civilization 5\Maps
2. Start game and select MODS
3. If you want to use some time mod tick it, otherwise click NEXT
4. Select Custom game, and choose map WWI Real Scenario, don´t forget tick Load scenario
5. Choose leader, difficulty and PLAY
